Ann Kramer
Ann Kramer
Welcome to my website. I am a freelance writer and historian, working from home. I have had 50 books published and have contributed to others. My books are non-fiction, as opposed to novels, and I have written for children and adults: at the moment I am commissioned mainly to write for adults. History is my subject, and women’s history in particular. I’ve written on topics ranging from Victorians and suffragettes through to human rights and land girls and recently have found myself writing much about women’s lives during wartime, a subject that fascinates me. My most recent book, Women Wartime Spies, was published by Pen & Sword and I am currently writing about conscientious objectors during the two world wars. As well as writing, I tutor women’s studies and have appeared on TV and radio.
“The perilous world of women spies is the subject of a fascinating new book by Ann Kramer”
